Abstract

This dataset accompanies Fricke et al. (2021) and Kootker & Laffoon (2022), which present a multi-isotope study of two individuals from Saba: a female and her child. It contains both the biogenic isotope data used to reconstruct their life histories and data generated as part of a pilot study investigating the potential of unburnt petrous bone (pars petrosa) as a reservoir of biogenic, diagenetically unaltered strontium. The petrous bone contains the exceptionally dense otic capsule, or bony labyrinth, which is thought to undergo little to no remodelling after early childhood.
