Abstract

This dataset comprises triple-isotope measurements (Sr-O-C) drawn from 20 cremated and 21 inhumed human individuals excavated from burial contexts along the Lower Germanic Limes in the Netherlands. The data are originally published in Kootker et al. (2022) and form the basis for reconstructing past human lifeways, specifically residential mobility and dietary practices, in this frontier region during the Roman period. A small number of data points previously published in Kootker et al. (2022) from Bunnik and Ewijk are already included a previously published dataset (10.48530/isoarch.2023.001).
