Abstract

A total of 326 strontium isotope ( 87 Sr/ 86 Sr) analyses from 125 sampling sites from two sampling campaigns across Corsica are presented. The first sampling campaign collected paired plant and soil samples from 75 individual sites while the second sampling campaign collected grass, shrub and tree samples from 55 sampling sites. Overall, an 87 Sr/ 86 Sr range of 0.7075 to 0.7169 is seen on Corsica, with the spatial distribution of these values related to the geological age and lithology. The dataset includes the coordinates for each sampling site, with its 87 Sr/ 86 Sr and uncertainty. Details on the underlying surface geology, elevation, slope, rainfall, and aspect are also provided for each sampling site.
