Abstract
This dataset comprises 33 lead isotope and concentration datapoints from 24 individuals from the Iron Age, Roman and Merovingian Netherlands, generated to investigate patterns of anthropogenic lead exposure and potential relationships with Roman metal-based tableware and dietary pathways. The data include Pb isotope compositions and Pb concentration measurements obtained from human tooth enamel. Some individuals included in this dataset may also have associated strontium isotope and/or concentration data published previously in other datasets. These records should therefore not be considered independent observations across datasets; users are advised to consult the relevant associated publications and datasets (e.g. https://doi.org/10.48530/isoarch.2023.001) when combining or interpreting the data.
