Abstract

This dataset comprises strontium isotope analyses from 58 cattle and sheep/goat specimens recovered from settlement contexts in Bronze Age West Frisia (2000–800 BCE), Netherlands. The data, published in Brusgaard et al. (2019), provide insights into the mobility and social roles of livestock during this period. The samples span various settlement sites, offering a comprehensive view of livestock management and its socio-economic implications in Bronze Age society in West-Frisia.
