Abstract
Stable isotope analysis of domesticate animal bone collagen was seldom undertaken in prehistoric Xinjiang, Northwest China. Here, carbon (δ13C) and nitrogen (δ15N), isotope analysis was performed on 67 domesticate herbivore bone collagen samples from Jirentai Goukou sites dating from the Late Bronze Age (ca. 1600–1000 cal BC). Our study offer a crucial dataset for future research to explore the livestock strategy in this region and beyond.
